The small courtyard on this site was improved by actually reducing the building footprint.

 

The renovation brief was to enhance the original end terrace house with its long elevation facing North onto a courtyard. Years of poorly constructed renovations were peeled away and a simple façade reinstated.

 

The result is a functional, compact family home opening to a lush garden in the Courtyard.
