NEW DWELLING | WERRI BEACH 2006
This new beach house was designed as a flipped house with living areas and master bed room at first floor to get the views over the coastal vegetation and the remaining bedrooms at the ground floor and to the rear garden. The house sits away from one fence line to let the north light in and an alternate entertaining veranda onto the garden is protected from the wind. The palette of weatherboards and pitched roofs deliberately harks back to the vernacular and the timber structure is best for weathering salt air.
