We first renovated this large Edwardian home in 2009 for a family with very young children by adding a wing of informal living to the back of the house that opened onto the lawn tennis court with a lower level pool and double garage accessed of the side drive. The original 1920s front portion of the house was left very much in its original configuration.

We were then invited back some ten years later when the teenagers had grown and there was pressure on where to park additional cars, there being nothing available in the street. The ambitious solution was to dig up the lawn tennis court and to build and underground garage that did not feel like a normal garage, before placing the lawn tennis court back on top.
