ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS | POINT PIPER 2005

Major extension to the side of an existing Arts and Crafts style house.

The existing two storey house was a duplex with a small secondary dwelling located on the western side. The previous extension was demolished to allow for the construction of a new Kitchen and Family Room with Bedrooms over. This in turn opened onto a new sandstone Terrace which captured the northern aspect as well as the view to the harbour. A Loggia was built on the Terrace to ensure the use of this space was maximised all year round.

There were major excavation works to allow for the construction of the lower level Rumpus Room and Cellar partially built into the sandstone foundations and opening onto the existing Pool Terrace.
