NEW DWELLING | MOSMAN 2001

This new house steps down from the street on a small, steep site looking north across middle harbour. It was important to keep a low profile at street level to safeguard views, and the copper roofing was selected to age gracefully as others looked over it from the other side of the road. The garaging was deliberately spilt into two singles to articulate the street facade around an entry courtyard. The gentle split level between kitchen and dining allows the view to be enjoyed from both with a generous cathedral ceiling in the living area.
