We have worked with this couple for over 30 years. The family has grown over that time and now those children have left home and it was time to move into a new phase of life. This provided an opportunity for them to downsize back into Glenmore Road Paddington, the same street as their first home that we worked on all those years ago.

 

Terrace houses seem to lend themselves to more colour and texture than other housing styles. We left the front façade and virtually built a new home beyond. The site has access via the rear, allowing for a valuable double garage to be built. Given the fall of the land, the middle floor, the entry level, looked out over the top of the garage. We decided this should have a roof garden to give a very soft, green outlook from the main living space.
