Our client’s Grandparents owned the original house which is set on the lowest part of a step rocky site on the northern side of Mosman. He had wonderful memories exploring this large garden and when he was able to move his family there, they wanted to maintain the existing two storey house in its original form.

 

We looked at how to upgrade the house to accommodate a larger family and manage the steep access and entry to the house. We designed a weatherboard wing which connected into the existing internal stairs to allow free access between the two yet not interfering with the original structure. The double Garage, Master suite, an additional Bedroom and Family Room were accommodated in this new extension. Previously there was little orientation to the north and views of the water beyond both of which were maximised with the extension.
